Age : Preferably around 40 to 45 years

Company Background:

Automation & robotic manufacturing German based company, is a Bangalore based company specialised in supply of Automation systems for the automotive Industry. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of German company based in Koenigsbach-Stein near Stuttgart. German is a group company,

Germany company has 3 main product groups- a) Automation systems b) Machine tools for Gear Manufacturing and c) EV stator and rotor manufacturing and assembly lines. All the products represent the latest in technology, offer very high productivity and are well accepted by the customers worldwide. The latest product offering in EV segment, developed over the last 5 years is well received by the customers and Germany company is fully booked for two years with orders for these products. Major customers worldwide include VW, Ford, BMW, GM, FCA and Linamar etc.

Indian operations were started in 2007 and company in India supplies Gantry based and Robot based automation system to the Indian customers. Automation systems are designed, manufactured and assembled in India. Machine tools are supplied from Germany and service support is provided by German company in India. HMSI, TVS, Mushashi Auto Parts, Bosch, Sansera, Super auto Forge, SFL, Kalyani, Bharat Forge are some of the major customers for the automation systems. For machine tools, Mahindra, Flash and Kalyani Techno Forge are the major customers. We are yet to start the EV business in India and that is a potential area for considerable future business growth. We also export automation systems in a limited way to Indian customers who have set up operations in USA and there is considerable potential for growth in export business. We are looking at expanding our business in future into EV products and export of automation systems. We are now looking for a suitable candidate to Head the sales and marketing function who will lead our above initiatives for business growth.

Experience

  • About 15 to 20 years of experience in sales and marketing of Automation Systems / Machine tools / Project selling at all India level.
  • Should have very good contacts at senior level in the Automotive industry with OEM`s, tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers
  • Proven track record of successful and sustained profitable business development
  • Should be technically capable to handle concept selling of Automation systems to customers.
  • Experience in new product selling / export business development will be an added advantage

Skill set:

  • Ability to keep track of developments in the industry and identify potential projects.
  • Ability to discuss the project technically with customers.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill
  • Should be willing to travel extensively for business development
  • Team work, good comminution and interpersonal skills

Expectations:

  • To plan and execute the business growth plans.
  • Expand the sales and marketing set up suitably to meet Company’s requirement
  • Keep track of investments in the industry and establish contact for potential orders
  • Work for getting automation orders for major projects from OEM`s / Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Develop market for Machine tools and EV business.
  • Identify potential for other areas for automation / other products developments for future growth.

Desirable:

Experience in working with German Companies and knowledge of German language will be added advantage.
